When God has possessed our reins before worlds began it is a clear indication why are we here for. Divine Will is God and in His Mind it was foreknown we would be adopted in His Son. We have been called. So only concern for us is to make the election certain. Obeying the word of God is the only way.

When the Spirit qualifies that Father Son relationship as ‘only begotten’ Son we need understand it is in a special sense outside the normal sense of the world. God is One and His Will shall never deny His nature. So when He says’ Let there be light’ It is Will expressed. The Spirit adds ‘And there was light (Ge.1:3)’ It explains what He willed was also accomplished. By the same token when the Palmist says we are His ‘peculiar treasure’ it falls under the special context where  we have…

Predestination is a Theological term expressing the principle where Power and Wisdom of God are equally in display so our physical universe has its measured growth,  totally reined in by God’s Holiness. The Heavens declare they glory is seen in visual display to which dust in air scatters light to give visual signature of Omnipresent God. Wisdom by same measure has endowed man made from the ground to witness the glory of God.

What is my substance? About the eternal word forever settled in heaven (Ps.119:89) God fashioned man ‘was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth’. It is a mysterious process to be qualified as ‘curiously wrought’ something similar to genes, -but a moral equivalent, determining the color of your eyes and the envelope that you would fill in as an individual,- and your appetites…

Glory of God can be translated into His Presence, which permeates His kingdom. When He uses clouds as his chariots or walks upon the wings of the wind, His omnipotence can distribute it in such manner it is so natural that a child of God shall accordingly be uplifted by its naturalness. What is so special about the  seeds cast by a sycamore tree (growing so tall some 35 m. high)  falling farther away from its parent tree? Power and Wisdom of God are understood by the tree to give the individual seed, wings like rotor blades of a chopper. Or the barks of ponderosa pine (Bull pine) develop thick bark in regions where fires are common; seeds are ready on the other hand being heat sensitive. It is how God’s glory is understood by common features that surround us. When we are so ignorant and are dismissive of God’s…

Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee”.

Light is a quality associated with God. His nature fills His kingdom. It can be summed up in one word and it is his glory. The Heavens declare it (Ps.19:1). It is His essence so when the word of God speaks of Him the Spirit qualifies it as the Father of lights, signifying it glory that works. It is what the Word would mean. Let us consider this familiar quote “For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ.(2 Co.4:6-NIV)”

In breaking up the above verse we have a reference to the creation account, (Ge.1:3). It refers to the…

This Psalm of David has been a personal favorite of mine. Some 25 years ago when I decided to leave my birthplace for another continent all I had to hope was on this verse,”Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?” Now looking back I find this was the most refreshing period in my life, and besides God brought great many beginnings,- and left incomplete into one whole. Looking back I see God did foresee my life in a way I never could have. Five year before in the middle of night a voice quoted verse, Deut.33:12. It was so vivid that I got up to check it. I knew then it was the Spirit laying out what God had for me. I was the Benjamin of my family so the verse was a fit; and “And of Benjamin he said…

God’s everlasting covenant existed before the foundation of the worlds was laid. It speaks of His Will. The works of His hand are visible and what is visible has a solid foundation that we call the word of God. His mercy for instance. It endures for ever. God willed it and who shall annul it? Prophet Isaiah asked “For the LORD of hosts hath purposed, and who shall disannul it? and his hand is stretched out, and who shall turn it back?(Is.14:27).” All we like sheep had gone astray but the Great Shepherd of our souls sought us out and it is what Advent means for Christians. His Wisdom has its Power component and it is what we read un the epistle of St Peter. “who are protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time(1 Pe.1.15)”.When we speak of…
