What is the importance of the Book of the Revelation? We may well ask what was the importance of the Promised Land to the nation of Israel. Patriarch Abraham was well content to live in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob judging him who promised as faithful. Moses leading the children of Israel marked the selfsame promise of God to Abraham becoming a reality. On one hand we had the patriarchs who nevertheless had seen them afar off, and embracsd them and confesed…(He.11:13) Their faith gave them such power to dismiss realities of contrary circumstances as trifles. “And to whom sware he(God) that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not? He.3:18-19).” Here we see two realities one of faith and the other of disbelief. Abraham obtained a good report through faith while the children of Israel did not enter into his rest. Faith must similarly…

In accordance with what Jesus predicted (Matt.24:29) after the great tribulation the following cosmic events shall take place:

1.Sun is darkened; the moon shall not give her light.
2. Stars shall fall from heaven(Re.6:13)
3. And the powers of the heavens shall be shaken.
After these appears the sign of the Son of man in heaven. At this point all the tribes of the earth mourn. This is a public event to which we have a verse from the Book of the Revelation “Behold he cometh with the clouds; and every eye shall see him…(Re.1:7”
The Spirit is telescoping events and time frame is God’s Time. The stars as signs (Ge.1:14).
What Jesus predicted above is revealed in the vision where the Lamb breaks seals. “And the stars of heaven fell into the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty…

“Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the word of this prophecy, and keep those thing which are written therein… (1:3)”

Blessedness of the word is not only derived from hearing but also from keeping it. Epistle of James mentions of looking in a glass and forgetting ‘what manner of man he was’ (Jas.1:23-24). Here it is the word of prophecy and no exception. For reading creates faith and in this context it is all the more needful knowing that “…The time is at hand.” Compare this line with the first Psalm. Blessedness of reading where you shall be in eternity ought to keep you from ways of the ungodly. God knows who are his. Their righteousness shall be rewarded. ‘The Lord knoweth the way of the righteousness.’ On the other hand the ungodly shall surely perish. In the last days scoffers shall abound belting out fake news…

“I have come to bring fire on the earth, and how I wish it were already kindled! But I have a baptism to undergo, and what constraint I am under until it is completed! Do you think I came to bring peace on earth? No, I tell you, but division (Lk.12:49-50).
Baptism of water is a sacrament that Jesus Christ has enjoined the Christians all over to observe. He himself took it under the hands of his cousin John in order to indicate the righteousness that only God can bestow on man. “And there are three that bear witness in earth, the spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one (1 Jn.5:8). So while we speak of the earth baptism by water is a vicarious death we undergo in order to confess we no longer live by our resources or by our abilities but by…

Many commentaries on the Book of the Revelation fail because the writers miss the obvious. When St John records the series of visions he is writing down what the angel sent by Jesus Christ revealed, which nevertheless are in visions. Literal interpretation must fail as every attempt to fit the mark of beast, the number 666 to a historical person has failed.
John was carried in spirit and what he understood was spiritual truths of God’s fellowship with man. Spiritual discernment, or wisdom from above is what we need and not carnal wisdom. Every chapter bears as with the peculiar nature of visions the Spirit’s imprint in harmony with the narrative mode employed by him. We opened the book with an analysis of the vision mentioned in Chapter 12 in order to familiarize with it.
Visions are articulated meaning several visions,- each carrying the Will of God and how the…

“In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations (v.2).
In the Garden of God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat (Ge.2:16). God’s offer included the tree of life and it could have enabled him to live forever. After having disobeyed a direct commandment of God what sin did was against the very nature of eternity. Holiness of God was symbolized by the name,-‘holiness is his name (Lk.1:49). This being the case affixing his Name to one sinner would have meant God denying own Power and Wisdom. Eternity is Holiness of God in Itself and through all that is of God. Principle of Association explained…

Eternity manifests altogether differently from what was given in the creation account of the heaven and the earth. God set the lights to divide the day and from the night (Ge.1:14) In the new heaven and new earth there is no firmament(Re.6:14; Is.34:4) The heaven is rolled up a scroll and put away while the stars are dissolved all those distinction of days in the opening chapter are likewise dissolved. Instead of sign mentioned there it is replaced by the holy city of God hung in mid-air. In order to signify this we have the Spirit place the throne of God and of the Lamb so glory of it did lighten the city. This is the Rest of God. Sabbath that God commanded the nation of Israel to observe merely pointed to it; in the same manner Jesus had. transfigured on the mount of Transfiguration Glory of the city of…
