What is the end of faith? St Peter in his epistle speaks it as salvation of our souls (1 Pe.1:9) He is discussing the quality of faith which is more precious than gold. It has a quality and it is also directed to the author and finisher of our faith.  Quality inherent in it is also brought to its perfection by Jesus Christ(He.12:2).’ Faith is something we cannot create ourselves or substitute for what is already existing. When God created the world his faith represented the home chord to which all other chords are moving. Faith in my heart is in step with the creative faith of God when I received Jesus Christ as my Savior Lord. In v.14 the writer to the Hebrews asks a rhetorical question and we may gather from what he had quoted from Old Testament that angels are  ‘ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation.’ So the question of salvation was very much in the air before man was formed of the ground. This is corroborated from the First Epistle of St Peter in which he refers to ‘salvation of your souls.’ At the end of it we have this line illumining our study where it speaks of angels being in the know of things, so end of faith and whole process of the power of the word with which the worlds are created and are upheld  are ‘Things the angels desire to look into.(1 Pe.1:9-12)’
