In the Book of Job we have a passage to enlighten us on this topic. This glory and honor refer to the stewardship of Adam. More significant still while we discuss the Fellowship of God with Man, -God the Son is the Man in question and more crucial is to fix in our mind as to his representational nature. In the chapter 38 God tells Job,”Gird up now thy loins like a man; for I will demand of thee, and answer thou me./ Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding (Job 38:3-4)”

Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip. For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward;(vv.1-2)”

Before God destroyed the cities on the plains, two angels at the setting of the sun came to Sodom. Why two angels? One is evidently the angel of his presence as was in the case of the testimony of the risen Christ shown to St John (Re.1:1) In this case one signifies grace and the other judgment ‘every transgression and disobedience received a just recompense of reward (v.2)’ From the following verse it is evident that salvation is intended here. What is perfection? Jesus in one of his discourse said,”Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect(Matt.5:48)”. On another occasion “And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.(Mk.10:18)”Both occasions on which Jesus Christ touched on perfection was different. In the Sermon on the Mount he spoke of perfection in connection with intra-personal relationships. People transact with one another around their changeability, Man is never constant as God is and as such perfection was impossible for them to understand. In a way the corporeal nature of man made it impossible. In the other case the young man had great possessions that was his concern. ‘How to get it  across? So his heart was already engaged.
