Week 2

A living body is shaped by its context. Debris from a supernova in deep space tends to form a clump than remain by itself. Between them there are tidal forces at work. After acquiring mass these individual clumps are subject to gravity.

Think of imagination of life forms similar to gravity working for proto planets. Life form shall however lay emphasis on the basis of understanding its environment. Evolving on an island without predators, its size tends to be larger than otherwise.

  1. Day 1

A female lion tends to produce fewer offspring compared to fishes that would lay millions of eggs and this difference owes to understanding of life forms with their context.

Life has its push and pull which our experience of living does not adequately address since we are finite beings, meaning that how we think is limited by nature of life forms. Truth of living and death consequently are limited by the limit of understanding.

1.7

Our imagination holds a centre of which we are conscious of and each species shall hold one that does not however show uniform results. Dogs make sense of their world by smell that differs from a bird of prey that hunts by sight. Fishes that once walked on land taking to marine living is the result of understanding the relative advantages taken on the basis of experience.

Living among other species of life forms does give us certain clues but truth of living is not necessarily same as truth of death.

1.2

Procreation of species by two individuals presupposes a want, a sense of incompleteness in either. Man and woman know truth of living, truth of which when applied to death shows how inadequate it is because no one has experienced and come back to tell us. Truth of experience.

1.3

Truth of living is inadequate as truth of non-being. Life forms live and die; but some life forms do not die in the sense we speak of humans. A tree lives long and in its fossilized state it still exists where it sprung from. It is however incomplete representation of the former.

Geologists have found that some of the larger upright fossil trees (found within Carboniferous coal-bearing strata) showing evidence of regeneration after being partially buried by sediments.

Living for a life form signifies its growth in stages or dissolution as part of a process we call as death. It cannot be true and false at the same time. Both must bear some relation to an Absolute- Truth.

Day 1

Ignorance is often compared to darkness that must be dispelled by light of knowledge. Upon careful examination it can be shown that it is not so. Darkness is a state of being which for a man implies truth that he holds is inadequate. It is same for the source of light, which may be artificial light. Under the light of moon how a landscape appears is not same as under the sunlight. Truth is light but what darkness arises or shadows a man makes are ignorance as arising in our intellect and in our actions. It is a matter of degrees.

A newly discovered object is the most-distant body ever observed in the solar system — and the first object ever found orbiting at more than 100 times the distance from Earth to the sun.
The discovery team nicknamed the object “Farout,” and its provisional designation from the International Astronomical Union is 2018 VG18. “Because 2018 VG18 is so distant, it orbits very slowly, likely taking more than 1,000 years to take one trip around the Sun.” one AU is the distance between Earth and the sun, which is about 93 million miles (150 million kilometers).
When we choose a scale to pinpoint objects in space like the sun or stars we take AU. Suppose we want to measure the smallest unit, where the space-time is zero where do I go? From my previous post on loop quantum gravity I suspect my thought must be as strange as what happens at the event horizon of a black hole. Certain ideas I can recall I have been carrying around me and a few I could put to rest having drawn logical conclusions from them. God’s role in my life for example. Certain ideas have taken a leap at times and it comes back in the face of certain ife experience I know it made my reasoning on better grounds. An idea though discarded when it bounces back to point out my flaw in reasoning what shall I say? Collective memory must be a kind of interface on which thoughts must make impact. It is more likely for a seafaring nation because of their past lead other nations as well. Thus was with the Age of exploration and in anything else. Collective memory belong to the category of invisible persuaders. I remember the case of a boy who astounded many locals by being able to recall events he surely had no way of living through. Such previous birth experience must account for collective memory.
White holes, wormholes and black holes are mysteries of life on which Science wrestles on premises and trying to work its way into one whole.

When society is taking a severe beating and old moral values are thrown as rubbish, do we pretend we are untouched by what happens about us? Or do we burrow into the huddled masses and hope for a miracle? Ignorance is bliss but that cannot save us. In one man’s loss lay some one else gain. (Poor Hillary. Her loss is gain for the one who occupies the WH.) I did not mean of those at a cut above. Ordinary people like us  who achieved a certain comfortable standing in life advanced while unknown to us quite a few fell back. I can remember a few who started with me in primary school and those who did not make it. Do we have anything to do with it? Directly no. Yet the social forces that helped us did not help them. Some vulnerable school mates settled for whatever they could pick up. That is fact of life in which they were helpless as indifferent we were since we were occupied with our own progress in life.

Whenever we tend to worry about our safety and security we need to see some monsters are out there shaped by tragedies while we survived. In my own case my trust in God gives me certain assurance: whatever happens it can only touch my body or material circumstances. ‘A thousand shall fall at thy side, and  ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.” We need not tempt God using this as a guarantee. If it is God’s will let it be so. If a saint of God should perish he shall be ever with the Lord.” That is our strength. In whichever case we should be watchful we do not edge out others because they are weaker or less privileged than us.  Whether up or down we are all brothers at arms and we do not sell our souls for some privileges that do not define us, really.

Nothing but trouble comes out of these four:

Making use of friends. Remember the down fall of Choi Soon-sil who was a close confidante of the former South Korean President. She has been sentenced for corruption. Similarly the case of Sashikala in the state of Tamil Nadu. She was so close with Jayalalitha, as close and deep as a tape worm in her bowels. Where is she now? Once the Chief Minister died her fate was sealed. So is everyone who is eager to be seen in company of the rich and famous.

Making friends with others with ulterior motives, is like a book that has lost its cover. Soon incessant demands one makes for their time, and peddling influence using their names blunts his/her moral fibre. A dog eared book with many pages missing is only fit for trashcan.

Loving things above people makes you dependent on a worse taskmaster who will only leave you bound after having gnawed off your heart ,soul and the very music of your life. Late Helmut Kohl the architect of an unified Germany was under the cloud. Since dead we shall not discuss his corruption as leader of men. Now a toxic family feud follows him to his grave. Kohl may turn in his grave what price he paid for such a discord?

Things also mean surface appearances: loving a woman for her bloom of youth and not taking care to invest your time to make her bask in your love unfeigned, shall leave a bitter taste when years take a toll of both. Duke of Wellington sought the hand of his Kitty when his name was yet to be heard. When he finally married her the shock was great for him they lived unhappily as ever. What price is glory of man who cannot find warmth around his hearth?

Inability to appreciate your own gifts every day of your life, and put them to use in howsoever much narrow turf you are provided with, amounts to suicide.

Let me first take up the Euler’s theorem or Euler’s Identity. It is an equation as neat as Einstein’s e=mc2 and in the words of Prof. David Percy of the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications, it was “a real classic and you can do no better than that … It is simple to look at and yet incredibly profound, it comprises the five most important mathematical constants.”

Euler’s Identity is written simply as: e + 1 = 0

The five constants are:

  • The number 0.
  • The number 1.
  • The number π, an irrational number (with unending digits) that is the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter. It is approximately 3.14159…
  • The number e, also an irrational number as π . It is approximately 2.71828….

But the weirdest thing about Euler’s formula—given that it relies on imaginary numbers—is that it’s so immensely useful in the real world. By translating one type of motion into another this equation has application in real world. π and e are deeply related, but in a very weird way, as adventures of Alice after falling through the rabbit hole.

Such irrational events that Alice experienced are in a dimension perpendicular to the world of real things—a place measured in units of i. The square root of –1, which of course doesn’t exist. Mathematicians call it an imaginary number.

Because Alice shows effects from obeying instructions ‘Drink me or Eat me’ down there is in literal sense while in real world what one faces is no less embarrassing as losing face or feeling small. In short our existence is the axis around which both irrational and real world make their claims on us, even if it is only limited to a nightmare. This equation is all pervasive in human affairs where an element of irrationality is in-built.

We cannot multiply a number by itself to produce a negative number anymore than we can repeat a dream by our will, The letter i is therefore used as a sort of stand-in to mark places where this was done.

The Queen of Hearts in the Lewis Carroll’s story might order about but Alice holds the ultimate authority and when she asserts it shows what is wrong with the authority of the Queen. She is only a number in the deck of playing cards.

e + 1 = 0

In the Euler’s Identity Alice is the constant 1. As seen earlier her place in the equation makes the pother and the strange procedure of the trial of the Knave of Hearts as zero another constant!

The beauty of the Euler’s theorem is that it has a transcendental quality of human existence where a person or an event (represented by the number 1) can undo all the carefully orchestrated Power Games of nations to mean nothing. Even while Austro-Hungarian monarchy or Dual Monarchy was lording over the ethnic minorities of the Balkans little did it realize a single event like assassination of the Archduke of Austria (1914) would bring down the empire like a pack of cards!

Similarly all that the Great Britain had amassed as a maritime nation, with colonies stretched into far corners of the globe (The Sun will never set on their empire’) shall with two Great Wars evaporate.(the constant 1 can represent both Great Wars as one set)

1.Man who simplifies life has plenty to spare for best things in life.  Man who lives on hire has all the vices of others to bear.

2. A young man who could only afford public transport happily did his stint; and now as talking head of a big Corporation he is chauffeur driven. He hates it. His public image is so altered and airbrushed whenever he looks in the morning at the mirror what he sees disgusts him.

3. This fable is very familiar and let me just the same tell to drive home a point:’ The country mouse lived merrily on offal; town mouse on caviar and blue cheese but the cat in the corporate hierarchy was a terrible taskmaster. Whichever way he looked could not rise in that corporate ladder without licking his boots.

Is corporate life all that bad? Now that I am past that stage of hard labor or looking forward for a hike in my status leaves only a crick in my neck, I ought to be careful in making any sweeping assertions. Some can handle corporate decision-making and work cheek by jowl with coworkers and try to see their ideas put into effect, and make a decent living. Are you really happy selling things you would not sell to your children or to loved ones? Are you happy playing toady to your boss who is merely looking after his back and shall sell you at the first opportunity to save his own skin? Would you be better off if you did some soul searching to ask,’Is this all I can do?’ If making life simpler is what you aim at, go into business yourself. And when it really takes off you shall start all over again worrying over matters seemingly trivial to others, Your biggest headache shall be that your sweat and blood do not fall to the ground in vain. Perhaps you shall require medication to keep your spirits up or to make through the day and night. The bottom line is keep your investment from failing and keep all aspects of you creature  under your control. It shall take every ounce of your effort but then it is your own brain child. At least  when all said and done you shall have the satisfaction you gave your best shot at it.
