Time and space makes no sense to God: his omnipresence and eternal power make time as would have conceived in his mind. Thus the will or intent of God represents the Lord Almighty. “Hear, O Israel:  The Lord our God is one (De.6:4)” Creative account of God for example is outward manifestation of the Will in a series of events. Jesus Christ was with God from the beginning (Jn1:3).” He represents fulfilment.Jesus said, “I and my Father are one (Jn.10:30).” Rightly so. God is one but in the narrative the Spirit keeps two narrative accounts of the Will as conceived and as fulfilled by the Father-Son concept.

The Spirit found it necessary to make these two strands as one in which signs, symbols, typology, allegory parables all have their place. One may ask why a veil over the body of narrative: spiritual mysteries are to be understood spiritually. In short the role of the Spirit is that of laser light. By literal interpretation like the scattered light leads a casual reader into many loose ends. This has caused great many controversies.

Before the foundation of the world Jesus was designated as a lamb slain (Re.13:6;1 Pe.1:20) So Jesus has a role outside the earth time. How does the Holy Spirit reconcile these two time scales? One speaks of Jesus as messenger of God using the earth time and the second time scale uses Time where he serves as fulfilment of the Will of God. When we read of so many days required for completing Creation Account think of it as Day encrypted as in computer jargon. Day of the Lord for example. It is a kangaroo word carrying sequence of events.

In Luke 3:38 Adam is son of God. Adam was created a living soul by the breath of God. Besides the Spirit makes him an antitype of Jesus Christ. There is a time element which runs on earth time. Thus God’s blessings to Abraham runs on earth time. Jesus was with God and nothing God did without him (Jn.1:3) Jesus as the Son of God runs on Time, God’s calendar. In order to make the position of God (the Father-Son concept) Holy Spirit makes it distinct from Jesus (coming to the earth in due time as Son of man). Towards this purpose  typology is used. Thus Adam, Joseph etc;, are antitypes of Jesus. Ro.5:19 makes this clear. Compare this with Jesus who also is qualified as second Adam. First Adam represents children of disobedience and Jesus as the second Adam represent blessedness of children of God in eternity. This is precisely the reason why cherubim with flaming swords turned away Adam and Eve. The tree of life is only for one the Son and whom he shall set up in eternity as signs and wonders.(is.8:18;He.2:13-15).”Behold the man is become one of us(Ge.3:22)” makes sense. Both sons cannot have access to it. In the city of God the same tree of life bearing 12 manner of fruits are for healing of nations. There is no more curse and in that case what healing are we discussing about? Remember the stone cut without hands in the vision of Daniel? It filled the entire earth. In eternity the blessed saints are kings and priests: their ministry is for healing of nations of the earth; they also minister to their sickness by the Word. These are the children of light since no sun is found there, These testify the glory of God.(Rev.22:1-3)

Jesus Christ is the centre of gravity to which all scriptural passages must fall in as many sheaves in the field bowed down to Joseph’s sheaves. Moses thus is second to Jesus. Moses disobeyed God by smiting the rock in the second instance. Jesus died but once. By his disobedience he could not enter the Promised Land He thus is a sign for the nation of Israel whose falling off made the promise to Abraham fulfil. ‘In thee shall all families of the earth be blessed(Ge.12:3).

Finally when the Spirit uses terms as in the beginning or in the end time we need to understand these run of Time and not earth time. Melchizedek is Prince of peace and forerunner of Jesus and his priestly office. As Messiah Jesus draws the believer to the blessedness of eternity. Without getting the time right we cannot fully understand the uniqueness of God document. The Bible unlike any other. Marginalia a concise guide to the Bible covers all these. It is just the primer for any student of the Bible. For those who wish to  know God more the Bible is essential. It is written by inspiration of God. Without inspiration one reads. In order to benefit grace and faith must come into play. Both are free gifts.  Whosoever shall be blessed must accept the Bible as God document. It is the bottom line.

Chinese scientists say they have “teleported” a photon particle from the ground to a satellite orbiting 1,400km (870 miles) away.

How does it work?

Simply put, teleportation is transmitting the state of a thing rather than sending the thing itself.

Some physicists give the example of a fax machine – it sends information about the marks on a piece of paper rather than the paper itself. The receiving fax machine gets the information and applies it to raw material in the form of paper that is already there.

When we read a novel we are making sense of what words of the author convey than actually see the word transform into the author’s mind. The mind may have chosen certain patterns of words since it adds to the emotional sense he wants to create. Personality of the author has already chosen them for him. The man who reads the novel has his own say in the matter, and accordingly rather than reading words rigorously (with regards to the author’s personal preferences and rationale in shaping the narrative) he makes sense of the literary space he is comfortable with.

Our mind acts somewhat like receiving fax machine makes sense of what we read. While in India my understanding of Bret Harte and Jack London stories held a certain vagueness. For a dude having lived in the kind of milieu and climate how he will make of it naturally would be closer to the real thing.

The Bible is written by inspiration of God. Inspiration of God is not lost but words in the Scripture in transmission can be misunderstood or make weak impression. The reader of the Bible requires the self-same inspiration in order to change his scepticism. His mind-set is often shaped by his cultural background and unbelieving society.

Philosophy of mathematics

One plus one is two. But when you apply it to a man and woman the answer shall be always what you may not guess. A family can never be pigeonholed into simple arithmetic. What is mathematics then? No one has yet settled about the nature of mathematics.

Mathematics of numbers however are pure. The number pi for example.

In everyday life, we speak as Platonists, treating the objects of our study as real things that exist independently of human thought. If challenged on this, however, we retreat to some sort of formalism, arguing that in fact we are just pushing symbols around without making any metaphysical claims. Most of all, however, we want to do mathematics rather than argue about what it actually is. We’re content to leave that to the philosophers.

There was a time, early in the twentieth century, in which mathematicians were passionately interested in the philosophy of mathematics. People were deeply concerned about what mathematics is, what sort of existence mathematical objects have, and their opinions on these questions actually influenced the mathematics they did.

Mathematics is a human endeavour, and in every day lives we create sets of certainties to account for services we render and consumables we buy so we have a value systems to assure us certain truths of our waking lives. (When the Spirit makes use of numbers it is notable that zero is never used.) As a value system it helps man give an account of his wealth.

Thus we create wealth and set this apart for our pension funds. When we are told all that money is gone what would mean? Does it mean the value we agreed upon coinage or bonds is worthless? It would not mean that our means to accumulate the desired value are cancelled along with it? Mathematical truths are uncertain like any other truths when it is tied to human nature.

A higher truth is what I have dealt with in Marginalia, a concise guide to the Bible. Truth of the word of God is ever fixed.

Marginalia in two volumes is available as e book/kindle version.

First volume has 112 pages and priced at $3.99

Second volume has 200 pages and priced at $5.99

God as Omnipresent and Omnipotent. His sovereignty over the earth is evident in his creation.

The river from Eden branching into four heads (Ge.2:10) is an illustration. The creation account clearly states that God had not caused it to rain upon the earth (vs.5). The Spirit clues us that not natural causes but God is the Prime Mover. We read in the last book of the Bible :there was ‘a pure river of water of life proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb(Re.22:1)’ and it goes like straight as an arrow. The river from Eden forms four heads compassing different lands.

The number four has significance to which I shall come by and by.

God sets his Will in a series chains of events where man and his actions do count. Adam’s disobedience in eating of the fruit informs us nature is also a component or divine instrument. ‘Cursed is the ground for thy sake.’ Weirder climate and one-percenters of today did not spring out of nothing but are the result of accumulated effect of chains of cause and effect.

In fulfilling divine Will nations of the world are the living canvass wherein man is placed and chains of events are the means to build up his faith or correct him. His individual life shall bear the lights and shadows cast by the immediate context in which he is placed. The example of Ruth amply bears out this truism. During the time the Judges ruled Israel there was a famine. Although Ruth being a Moabite and outside the promise of God made to the House of Israel, she was predestined to glory. She is the matriarch from whose womb the Messianic Promise would stream forth.

The eternal verity of Mercy is unchangeable but His authority is affixed in the many chains of events, too complex for any man to control. In its working we only need compare the role of volcanoes. These are upheavals of the earth causing many hiccups but renewing the face of the earth. God’s sovereignty assures His children the greatest good not according to any time frame of man but in his Time. Sorrows are like the birth pangs a woman undergoes before the birth never thought of once she holds the baby to her bosom. A child of God bonded with God through the redemptive work of the Son never need concern of whatever happens. Ruth suffered her share of misfortunes but when God had put these under the heading of Mercy her case was unlike anything that she had imagined. What does Isaiah say? “Sing, O barren that thou didst not bear;… (Is.54:1)

In the Will of God nothing is created for itself. The earth is not singly created but in context of the heaven. If we examine the earth in detail we shall see the Lord God first set up whatever appurtenances needful for the wellbeing of Adam.

Mathematics and counting of numbers hold relevance only for man. The Alien shall have his own system of counting. When the Spirit uses numbers it with the intent of sharing the divine Will in a manner man can find use for. So what is the significance of the number 4? In the Book of Zechariah we read of four chariots (Zec.6:1) four artisans, four horns(1:18,21) These are instruments appointed by God. It is clear from so many clues how God establishes his sovereignty of history of nations.

A sign is a devise in the Biblical narrative always set by God in order to affirm his authority, in order to increase the faith of man employed for a task at hand or as marker. Of the latter I shall take up first. Having set a rainbow in the sky God said,’..I do remember My Covenant which is between Me and You every living creature of all flesh.(Ge.9:12-17) This is different from the sign he employed to equip Gideon for his task. (Jud.6:36-40)

Here I want to focus on the office of the Holy Spirit in order to show a sign is employed as a starting point, which subsequently runs into many other agencies. Firstly let us read God’s covenant with Noah, ‘Noah, and with your seed after you… to every beast of the earth.’ Ge.9:8-10) The covenant with Noah enfolds all living things on the earth as well. In similar vein God’s promise to Abraham (Ge.12:1-3) covers not only Israel but all families. ‘In thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.(Ge.12.3, 28:14) God’s promises are universal and all inclusive and not limited to a few. As a sign of this divine nature we can understand the purpose of the lights from opening chapter of the Creation Account.

‘And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night, and let them be for signs…(Ge.1:14).’ When Jesus announces ‘I am the light of the World..(Jn.8:12)’ we need to see he was a sign. ‘Therefore the Lord Himself shall give you a sign: Behold a virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel(Is.7:14). Holy Spirit is Spirit of Truth. When God the Spirit states in the Creation Account light as a sign the redemptive nature of the Son of man is implied there.

In my book Marginalia- a concise guide to the Bible I have covered at length  the manner God the Spirit has set the divine Will in signs, symbols and such like. Thus both standpoints of the God the Father and of the Son are clothed in a language which is Truth.
