Sinai plane crash: No survivors on Russian airliner KGL9268

So runs the news of an airplane crash. It was a disaster waiting to happen, right? If an airplane is built for taking off to the air it is as natural that an air plane is waiting to crash down. It is thus, defying natural laws where the nature of gravity is in-built, must fall under the physical nature of the earth. Its effect must be absorbed by the inhabitants. An airplane develops sufficient thrust to take off but natural laws shall play against it  to bring it down. There cannot be any other explanation if we were to explain why such a disaster occurred. Man and his machine is ever against the earth and its natural laws. It makes no sense even if it was another airplane that came down. Natural law has been broken and law of gravity shall claim its due. Such a law of reciprocity exists on a moral plane, to which I shall come back in the next post.

For anyone who is curious to know more on the nitty-gritty details of the above cited news item let me add what the BBC news have to say: ‘A Russian airliner crashes in Sinai killing all 224 people on board – rescuers describe a “tragic scene” with bodies of victims strapped in their seats.’

If man did not have natural curiosity there would  be no news media to cover the events. It is natural as vultures gather where the dead are. Man’s curiosity is ever drawn to events that he is liable to experience.

In what way is the fate of Russian airliner KGL 9268 different from that of MH 17? Apart from some superficial details as the the type manufacturer etc., both events are identical. MH 17 was brought down by a Buk missile. The Guardian in their Oct.13, 2015 newspaper reports: ‘A Buk surface-to-air missile downed flight MH17, Dutch investigators have said as they unveiled a reconstruction of the plane that showed huge shrapnel damage to the cockpit and front section.’

Naturally this report has been dismissed by Russia. It is widely assumed that Russia-backed separatists were responsible for bringing down MH17, but the US has stopped short of blaming Moscow directly. The Kremlin has blamed Kiev – variously suggesting that a Ukrainian military jet shot down the Boeing 777, or that a missile was launched from a government-held area. Any disaster shall have its critics and yea-sayers. Is it really necessary to follow this line of reasoning if there are no answers? Where the facts are swallowed up by man’s inability to define truth why bother for this or that?

What is truth? No one can say exactly so let us not waste our time here.

In the welter of right or wrongs any blame we attach to any faction is thus, waste of time. Man has made errors of his conduct bind him as well as throw the key into some bottomless abyss. Thus we cannot justify Russia or the west for the disaster of MH 17. We read terrible happenings around Middle East or Palestine issue. Do those Palestinians or Israelis dead ever deserve the blame? Moral imperative of the dead has been lost as to the fact who started it all.

Nations play indeed a dangerous game ever since man set out to kill another for some reason or other. This is a group thing and man would have reasoned himself that ‘the might is right’. It is a group thing that would not have had bite if it were not in the individual first to do wrong. Like Adam whose disobedience owed to an attitude that his gains were more important than accepting the authority of God over his choices. How easy it is? Also what a slippery path it is to make himself more important than another! This same attitude finds itself at home when he bands together with others. Consequently nations have set out to make themselves greater than any natural law that enjoins an individual to respect another  as he would others do unto him. Now we see the Israelis see a knife in every shadow and any Palestine outside his four walls is literally taking a walk through the shooting gallery. There peace is only in the name Jerusalem. Since man Palestinian or Jew has lost the moral compass he is vulnerable. There cannot be any peace since man has set himself to do wrong. Similarly Russia in order to prove it is a world class player has invited disaster. MH 17 and KGL 9268 are of the same weight whatever one may say against or for the disaster.

If man does not want to follow natural justice on earth he shall have to account for many more similar disasters in future.

At Chao-cheng there lived an old woman more than seventy years of age, who had an only son. One day he went up to the hills and was eaten by a tiger, at which his mother was so overwhelmed with grief that she hardly wished to live. With tears and lamentations she ran and told her story to the magistrate of the place, who laughed and asked her how she thought the law could be brought to bear on a tiger. But the old woman would not be comforted, and at length the magistrate lost his temper and bade her begone. Of this, however, she took no notice; and then the magistrate, in compassion for her great age and unwilling to resort to extremities, promised her that he would have the tiger arrested. Even then she would not go until the warrant had been actually issued; so the magistrate, at a loss what to do, asked his attendants which of them would undertake the job. Upon this one of them, Li Neng, who happened to be gloriously drunk, stepped forward and said that he would; where- upon the warrant was immediately issued and the old woman went away. When our friend, Li Neng, got sober, he was sorry for what he had done; but reflecting that the whole thing was a mere trick of his master’s to get rid of the old woman’s importunities, did not trouble himself much about it, handing in the warrant as if the arrest had been made. “Not so,” cried the magistrate, “you said you could do this, and now I shall not let you off.” Li Neng was at his wits’ end, and begged that he might be allowed to impress the hunters of the district. This was conceded; so collecting together these men, he proceeded to spend day and night among the hills in the hope of catching a tiger, and thus making a show of having fulfilled his duty. A month passed away, during which he received several hundred blows with the bamboo, and at length, in despair, he betook himself to the Cheng-huang temple in the eastern suburb, where, falling on his knees, he prayed and wept by turns. By-and-by a tiger walked in, and Li Neng, in a great fright, thought he was going to be eaten alive. But the tiger took no notice of anything, remaining seated in the doorway. Li Neng then addressed the animal as follows: “O tiger, if thou didst slay that old woman’s son, suffer me to bind thee with this cord;” and, drawing a rope from his pocket, threw it over the animal’s neck. The tiger drooped its ears, and, allowing itself to be bound, followed Li Neng to the magistrate’s office. The latter than asked it, “Did you eat the old woman’s son?” to which the tiger replied by nodding his head; whereupon the magistrate rejoined, “That murderers should suffer death has ever been the law. Besides, this old woman had but one son, and by killing him you took from her the sole support of her declining years. But if now you will be as a son to her, your crime shall be pardoned.” The tiger again nodded assent, and accordingly the magistrate gave orders that he should be released, at which the old woman was highly incensed, thinking that the tiger ought to have paid with its life for the destruction of her son. Next morning, however, when she opened the door of her cottage, there lay a dead deer before it; and the old woman, by selling the flesh and skin, was able to purchase food. From that day this became a common event, and sometimes the tiger would even bring her money and valuables, so that she became quite rich, and was much better cared for than she had been even by her own son. Consequently, she became very well-disposed to the tiger, which often came and slept in the verandah, remaining for a whole day at a time, and giving no cause of fear either to man or beast. In a few years the old woman died, upon which the tiger walked in and roared its lamentations in the hall. However, with all the money she had saved, she was able to have a splendid funeral; and while her relatives were standing round the grave, out rushed a tiger, and sent them all running away in fear. But the tiger merely went up to the mound, and, after roaring like a thunder-peal, disappeared again. Then the people of that place built a shrine in honor of the Faithful Tiger, and it remains there to this day. (ack:englishdaily626.com)

First the news : A government spokesman says Jordan executed two prisoners, including a female would-be al Qaeda suicide bomber hours after vowing a harsh response to the gruesome killing of a Jordanian pilot captured by the Islamic State extremist group.

The executions at dawn Wednesday came just hours after Islamic State militants released a video that purportedly showed the captured Jordanian fighter pilot being burned alive in a cage. Anyone with iota of sense will agree we live in barbaric times. The law of an eye for eye ought to have been laid to rest the day media could send news to every home. News media these day cater the curious not only with odd news but with gory images. No one is now let off innocent for we are passive accomplices of the foul deeds of some,  Now satellite TV can send the images of brigands (made now kings with billions of petrodollars to justify their blood lust) administer 1000 lashes for anyone who says contrary to plain facts. I am sure the child who laughed at the Emperor’s new clothes had he lived in the Middle East would have been flayed alive. If my memory is correct some Iraqi football fans all children paid with their lives for their overjoy. Because IS cannot condone any laughter except when they are setting fire or cutting throats of any foreigner whom they can lay hand on. Where did all these nightmare began?

IS is not a state as such. Imagine what rule of a state under the lawless will be.

Hate under which Lebanese government executed the failed suicide bomber gives law and justice a bad name as the brigands who claim impunity to execute ‘justice’ on a hate principle. Any state that denies justice ‘zulm‘ shall not last long. Jordan ought to haver meted out justice long ago for an unforgivable crime than using the ‘enemy combatant’ as a pawn.

Nearly all of the Earth’s atmosphere is made up of only five gases: nitrogen, oxygen, water vapor, argon, and carbon dioxide. Several other compounds also are present. Air can contain as much as 5% water vapor.

99% of the mass of the human body is made up of only six elements: oxygen, carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, calcium, and phosphorus. Every organic molecule contains carbon.

Since 65-90% of each body cell consists of water (by weight), it isn’t surprising that oxygen and hydrogen are major components of the body. Hydrogen is a component of the water molecules in the body, as well as most other compounds.Oxygen is necessary for respiration. You will find this element in the lungs, since about 20% of the air you breathe is oxygen.

Carbon is ingested in food the food we eat and in the air we breathe. Carbon accounts for 18.6% of the total mass of the human body.

Nitrogen is a component of proteins, nucleic acids, and other organic compounds.Nitrogen gas is found in the lungs, since most of the air you breathe consists of this element.

Calcium is a major component of the skeletal system. It is found in bones and teeth. Calcium is a metal. It readily oxidizes in air. Because it makes up such a large part of the skeleton, about one-third of the mass of human body comes from calcium, after water has been removed. The element is incorporated into the bones, combines with other elements including iron, potassium, sodium, magnesium and calcium. It is necessary for sexual function and reproduction, muscle growth, and to supply nutrients to the nerves.

Potassium primarily is found in the muscles and nerves as an ion. Potassium is important for membrane function, nerve impulses, and muscle contractions.

Sodium is important for proper nerve and muscle function. It is excreted in perspiration.

Chlorine aids in cellular absorption of water. It is the major anion in body fluids. Chlorine is a part of hydrochloric acid, used to digest food. It is involved in proper cell membrane function.

Phosphorus is found in the nucleus of every cell. Phosphorus is part of nucleic acids, energy compounds.

Magnesium is a cofactor for enzymes in the body.Magnesium is needed for strong teeth and bones.

Sulfur is a component of many amino acids and proteins.

In such a chemical cocktail that permeates the air, space and objects I see nothing but form and function.
Form of man and form of plants thriving in cosmos to be of use to one another is simplicity in itself. We need oxygen and plants need carbon dioxide. In supplying each others needs we have fulfilled our roles that of course is one among many dimensions we run into each other. ‘I think there fore I am.’ In order to know that my brain again  of same substance as in Cosmos, fired up certain electro-chemical impulses. It has no reality outside myself really.

We palaver, chat up to higher-ups and make deals, cut corners, stab backs of each other and are locked up for some 30 years in Louisiana and released because of some lacuna in human justice and, thank God we have showed Law still reigns supreme under the sun. It is much about nothing really.

Mr. Edward Snowden is traveling by commercial air while the USA want him grounded and delivered to them. Can’t a Giant get his wish?June 23.

The USA have their reasons while Mr. Snowden his reasons for what he did. Alas there isn’t an earthly court where they can establish truth.

Till such time truth can be revealed and understood by all, suffering of each is not for own self but also for sins of others.

Prisons, till Truth is enshrined in the land as real, are for the dispossessed, weak, poor and needy. The biggest rogues are let free. Because they know how to manipulate the system to their advantage.

When society made prisons it made its burden of guilt also more harsh.

June 24,

What an humbling exercise to find you have practically none when you need help? President Obama is in a fix.You may judge how effective has been the US foreign policy from this.

Pres.Obama has been reaching out but his long arm, both Secretaries of State, seem to have drawn blank. It is not for want of trying but the perception others have of real intentions of the US. Is it trying to create conditions for peace and International understanding? Each nation will have its own opinion.

Diplomacy is not in not simply picking chestnuts from fire but controlling the fire till chestnuts are got out.In post-Cold War the US policy was all along to take opposite view of Russia (the war in Syria) Why should Russia oblige USA over Snowden? Now Russia takes this opportunity to deny cooperating with the US.Those who need friends must show themselves friendly that applies both in personal and national relationships. No exception to it.

June 25.

Snowden affair seems to get murkier with each day. He is now like Jonah swallowed by an ideological whale. Where it will spit him out?

June. 26

Snowden still at airport, Ecuador asylum decision could take months. Reason is simple. Ecuador has to think of trade with the US.

Ecuador has to think of its flowers, vegetables and the Yankee dollah funds its economy. So Snowden has to cool his heels longer.

Idealism is fine but cost prohibitive; Ecuador knows by now Marxism may be polished by rhetoric but it is money that fills their belly.

June 27.

If Politics of nations runs on hard realities of dollars and cents individuals are not. So much is obvious.

Whoever first got nation concept accepted as ‘politics of the future’ is the one who sold himself. He might have called himself a realist.Time judges how real he was.

No nation has learned to tame an individual simply because nation is a creature of all individuals where no democracy in its ideal state can exist.Nations at best try to cater to the good of majority which is not good enough for those who happen to be left out.

In the post WWII Karl Fuchs was among a small group of intellectuals who objected the role of USA having total control of nuclear arms. He turned a spy. Compare the fate Rosenberg couple in the 50s and AQ Khan who cut an pasted nuclear secrets and sold through internet.

Was justice served equally to those who leaked nuclear secret of the west to other nations? Nations blunder as much as individuals.
Modern Age is better served by the likes of Orwell,Thoreau who are best representative of the Outsiders but well tuned to speak truth.
On what motives Edward Snowden leaked sensitive information we may not really know. Was he bent on mischief or out of idealism? Everyone shall have an opinion to which I would rather not get into. Lesson that L’affaire Snowden teaches us that nations tribes, secular, theocratic for that matter any system run by man or body of men, is an exercise in futility. Immoral it shall be and we need to ask how far we may rid us off the sheer fools, mullahs devoid of common sense or how human nature works, from tampering it.For example see the state of Egypt in post Mubarak period. So much blood of ordinary citizens was shed for what, so some religious nut can run the country from bad to worse? Or what about Pakistan?

Q: Where do fund managers go when the game is up?

A:Home of course.

Q: What if it is Homm?

A: Try him in Florence.

Florence is where great masters are seen. Da Vinci’s Annunciation and Botticelli’s Birth of Venus are ageless in terms of their power to elevate ordinary mortals. There are those who wish to be part of a world they often miss out in their everyday boring lives. So they scrimp and save enough to make a pilgrimage to see the masters in real. It draws millions of admirers from all over the world each year. For those who wish to see excellence of human art, Uffizi Gallery is the place. It is where art lovers are transported to a world of beauty. Not so for Florian Homm, a fund manager. He thought he was looking at a da Vinci. Whereas the carabinieri smelt a rat. They were right. He was a fugitive. It is not clear if his stuffed shirt or his smelly underwear stuffed with the loot gave him away.

Florian Homm, 53, the German fugitive hedge fund manager more than five years ago fled the Spanish island of Mallorca with $500,000 hidden in his underwear and luggage. Thus ended the rake’s progress. Remember the series of paintings by Hogarth? Crime and irresponsible spending never came to a good end then and now also they come to a bad end.

Now for some background news:

The founder and former chief investment officer of Absolute Capital Management Holdings Ltd. is accused of “cross trading” billions of shares of penny stocks between the company’s funds to boost the value of the otherwise illiquid securities.

The trades, through a Los Angeles-based broker-dealer that Homm co-owned, generated fees for Homm and Absolute Capital and also inflated the price of Absolute Capital’s shares, U.S. prosecutors said. Homm “dumped” his shares and resigned from Absolute Capital on Sept. 18, 2007, “in the middle of the night,” according to the U.S.

Homm and his co-conspirators made more than $53 million from the scheme, prosecutors said. Adam Kravitz, a Miami lawyer who represents Homm in a lawsuit brought by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, declined to comment on the criminal charges.

Su Shi (1036-1101) who called himself Su Tungpo is considered by common consent as one of the greatest Chinese poets. Having displeased the emperor he was under detention at Huangchow. Another time he served his time on the island of Hainan. ‘What good is for a cricket to protest against the might of the moon?’ Many of his contemporaries thought so. They wished he would accept things as they are. His protest against the custom of drowning of the girl babies was so effective that when he left Huangchow the grateful parents lined up the village streets with tears in their eyes and babies in their arms whose very lives had been saved by his efforts. With many fools around we need to do what is reasonable under the cirumstances and leave it at that.
Each of us has a certain view. You and I have been set into a certain direction by forces that are beyond us. One being born to a family of devout Christians may have drawn moral values that are compatible with Christian traditions and it is a virtue you have accepted as an ideal. If it is the case you need to accept another shall have the freedom to set his own ideals. If such ideas are combined together the world must prove to be set firm on moral values where different religions and practices only underline certain shades more than another. How come then we see the world of chaos and not of any order? Think of a pendulum swinging steadily at a certain pace that we may speak of it as divine order. Suppose we connect a second pendulum to it. It is demonstrated that the second one soon falls out of the regularity of the first.
This is how we may explain man’s moral sense falling out of step with that of divine moral order.
If there is no such thing as a divine Order we might consign every god, Allah, Jehovah, God as not worth the candle one lights in reverence. God unjust? It is impossible. Does God sets out to settle our personal errors and put us back into working order, individually? I do not think so. God made this earth to be inhabited and expects man to set his own house in order in fellowship with all. The moral order that is inherent in so many working with a common purpose creates its own order and it is representational. For example human laws are derived in the manner man has paraphrased divine law to be just and equitable.

Why cannot man be equal to the task? If there are natural laws there must be an order that gives Nature it force and authority. Since we are all humans and given a finite time frame to understand why such and such events take place it is therefore excusable to draw a moral purpose to which human laws may do. It represents divine law. Law is represented holding a double edged sword. Law must serve justice as well mercy.
All we could do is to do what is proper and right, everything being secondary to the humanness that describes you and me. If we frame laws Justice is tempered with Mercy since we know to be human is to err. We who are wise are connected to foolish and if we were to pay the fools by the same coin we are also setting the course for error. Of this I shall write in another post.

The merchant just dreaded what was to come. The jinn said pointing to the lifeless body of his son.
‘You killed my son and I want blood for blood’
The merchant appealed to his better nature. The jinn gave a terrible laugh and said,’What better nature you expect when the Lord of Three Kingdoms made us Jinns as beastly as they come?’
The merchant cried and cried saying that he had not settled his business in order. ‘Give me one year grace period and I shall come back to this spot without fail. You can have satifaction.’
The Jinn stared at the merchant as he went on emphasizing how his death would make his family disconsolate. ‘But I fear Allah and if I break my oath He shall punish me and the fear outweighs what love I have for my wife.’ He ended saying, ‘Without fail I shall be here. And my neck under thy disposal.’
The Jinn stared at his neck and his scimitar and said,’Allah blessed you with industry and a famiily.’ His face darkened and said,’ But Allah cursed me. Yet I shall show mercy because I choose to be merciful.’He put his scimitar away.
Taking the lifeless body of his baby he sat down and rocked it to and fro.Seeing the merchant still standing there he waved him away,’Run off Next year be here, without fail’
The merchant returned to his home with a heavy heart.

Law and Justice do not always connect as in a direct line. I can cite parallels from cosmology and from moral philosophy. It is an anomaly theory.
Cause and Effect conform to it. Take prayer for example. Suppose I prayed God for a certain favor and did a number of good works to please Him and suppose I succeed would it mean God interfered with the divine will? It is often that in the interplay of several events that my prayers are answered or better still something else happened in my life more in tune with my present needs. Cause of my prayer and effect of it are linked in a roundabout manner. Still in effect it is as if God did answer my prayer. Now let us go onto cosmic matters. The Big Bang releases tremendous energy and there is an inflationary theory to explain this disproportionate amount of energy. Where these had come from? No one knows. We are not here discussing cosmic matters but about simple element of justice.
These days I have been hearing about Osama not getting due process of law.
First of all let me say Osama bin Laden was a lawless man.
Law can only work where humanity is enshrined in man’s hearts. Law- abiding citizens wherever they may be, shall appreciate it since they know if law is denied to them by some agencies they do have a recourse to justice in a court of law. Tariff war between nations can be sorted out in an International Court just as war crimes or any other do have a common platform to be heard. Law is accepted as the ultimate arbiter. We are not living in a lawless world but in a world where law is upheld. It reigns supreme well for most parts of the world. But we also have a number of lawless regions. Somali pirates for instance operate with impunity from a lawless region. Similarly are lawless regions from where terrorists can strike at will. It is this lawlessness and utter disregard to human values that have made Al-Qaeda succeed for a time. (There are groups like Taliban whose peculiar notions of law are drawn from barbaric times where women are stoned etc.,) These have no locus standi in any progressive modern society. In short lawless men either imposes their own law arbitrarily or law of the nations is entirely flouted. Osama caused death of thousands and thousands. These victims of all genders, age and faiths were denied due process law. If this be the case why should he be given a fair trial? Which court of law is appropriate when the victims belonged to nations all across the globe?
Suppose Osama was taken alive and was in American custody these terrorist groups would have hijacked some thousands of innocents from various places and held them to ransom. Why put more innocent lives needlessly to peril? Justice was meted out to a lawless man who never showed iota of humanity in his lifetime. Law and Justice need not always meet. If there were an extentuating circumstance or an anomaly it was here.

Here is an item from the Reuters:
‘Major U.S. newspapers called on the Oscar winner to account for the crime, and commentators said U.S. public opinion was running strongly against Polanski.”
This reminds me of a similar public outcry in the Victorian England. Here the target was an Irish genius, a wit and his jibes, a thorn on the side of hypocritical Victorian society. Oscar Wilde had ridiculed their hypocrisies and when he fell they made it sure he was destroyed. Evil of these hypocrites took the guise of social orderliness and fatherly feeling. Marquess Queensberry was seen by the public as a father who would resist his son being corrupted by a pederast. In real his son was a confirmed homosexual even before Oscar Wilde began ‘feasting with panthers ‘as he put it. But the public outrage needed a victim and Wilde, the outsider fitted the bill perfectly. So much for the public outcry against so called ‘moral turpitude.’ The US newspapers are no different from those who gloated on the downfall of Wilde.Polanski is an outsider,of Polish and French extract. His lifestyle was not of American pie and flag waving as of the moral majority.
Wilde found fame in London just as he fell because he was an outsider. Law tried him as an equal only that justice was of doubtful quantity.
Justice that the public cried was not so much for establishing their middleclass correctness or for propriety or justice. When he was sentenced the prostitutes danced on the streets because homosexuals were cutting into their business.
Why did Queensberry pursue Wilde with implacable hatred? He was convinced that his one son had died earlier in a homosexual scandal in which Lord Roseberry who later became the PM of Great Britain was a party.(His son Drumlanrig was afraid of blackmail over his relations with Roseberry.)
From above we see that before Law all are equal but Justice served comes in  tainted dishes.

Thus when the US public cries for justice they merely hide all their prejudices and social injustices to which they are party to and gives lip service to Justice. If only there was a public outcry against Bush when he embarked on his war against Iraq or against Abu Gharib atrocities. There are so many wrongs still in circulation that they could rail against and also work for the good of all.
Tailspin: Law sent Wilde to prison and broke him. His creative genius could not survive the inhuman treatment meted out to him after the fashion of Victorian sense of Justice. Redeeming nature of their prison system was not what could have left the best part in him, his genius, in tact. Effect of justice for a dockworker is different from that of man of letters. Shylock in the Merchant of Venice had the right to his pound of flesh but he had no right to the man’s blood. Collateral damage the Law exacts from his spirit or from those who are dependent on him makes Justice somewhat questionable.
