What is man that God is seized of his weal?

A little lower than angels He made

His girth to earth bound, in habits diurnal

Must host of angels light as wind confound,

Stolid is frame but his moods mercurial?

Body soul and spirit with Trinity bound

Fellowship of God with Man most natural

Thus did God accord his state Federal.
