“t is a land the LORD your God cares for; the eyes of the LORD your God are continually on it from the beginning of the year to its end(De.11:12).”

It is a land to which the end of the year 2021 has brought closer and on the eve of a new year what we ought to be sure is the lay of the Land, it is altogether new for us but for eternal God this land is the apple of his eye. In His will He is sure of success for it is the Son and on his sure foundation every child of God shall find his place. It is the earth that abides forever. It is the new earth which is where these years are taking us closer. “One generation passeth away, and another generation cometh: but the earth abideth for ever(Ec.1:4)”.

We have passed through generations…

That thine eyes may be open toward this house night and day, even toward the place of which thou hast said, My name shall be there: that thou mayest hearken unto the prayer which thy servant shall make toward this place(v.29)”.

This House is a representation being made of hands what exists eternal in heaven. The Throne and footstool imagery (Is.66:1) explains the fulness of the earth so the temple of Solomon when the ark of the covenant was brought inside revealed something unusual.

“And it came to pass, when the priests were come out of the holy place, that the cloud filled the house of the Lord,/So that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud: for the glory of the Lord had filled the house of the Lord./Then spake Solomon, The Lord said that he would dwell in the thick darkness./I have surely built thee an house to dwell in…

And the king turned his face about, and blessed all the congregation of Israel: (and all the congregation of Israel stood;)

15And he said, Blessed be theLordGod of Israel, which spake with his mouth unto David my father, and hath with his hand fulfilled it, saying,

16Since the day that I brought forth my people Israel out of Egypt, I chose no city out of all the tribes of Israel to build an house, that my name might be therein; but I chose David to be over my people Israel.

17And it was in the heart of David my father to build an house for the name of theLordGod of Israel.

18 And the Lord said unto David my father, Whereas it was in thine heart to build an house unto my name, thou didst well that it was in thine heart.

Nevertheless thou shalt not build the…

Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, the chief of the fathers of the children of Israel, unto king Solomon in Jerusalem, that they might bring up the ark of the covenant of theLordout of the city of David, which is Zion.

2And all the men of Israel assembled themselves unto king Solomon at the feast in the month Ethanim, which is the seventh month.

And all the elders of Israel came, and the priests took up the ark..

“Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own (1 Co.6:19)As temple of God every believer is required to take up his cross and follow Christ Jesus. “And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny…

At the dedication of the temple King Solomon standing in front of the altar addressed the congregation says,”But will God indeed dwell on the earth? behold, the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain thee; how much less this house that I have builded?/ Yet have thou respect unto the prayer of thy servant, and to his supplication, O Lord my God, to hearken unto the cry and to the prayer, which thy servant prayeth before thee to day(vv.27-28).”

Fellowship of God with Man is Person-specific. In his Son whosoever earnestly seeks God shall be found.”Though the LORD is on high, Yet He regards the lowly;(Ps.138:6a)” It is for this reason God formed their hearts alike so He is just a call away. When David wrote this Psalm he did not have to scratch the head for inspiration and the truth in him opened to him accordingly some home truths about…

“And the priests brought in the ark of the covenant of the Lord unto his place, into the oracle of the house, to the most holy place, even under the wings of the cherubims./For the cherubims spread forth their two wings over the place of the ark, and the cherubims covered the ark and the staves thereof above./ And they drew out the staves, that the ends of the staves were seen out in the holy place before the oracle, and they were not seen without: and there they are unto this day(vv.6-8).

The Spirit in using the curious expression which we have come across earlier is applied to a house historically is past. The house of God beginning with the tabernacle in the wilderness is modeled after a pattern existing forever in heaven. “According to all that I shew thee, after the pattern of the tabernacle, and the pattern of…

“And he set up the pillars in the porch of the temple: and he set up the right pillar, and called the name thereof Jachin: and he set up the left pillar, and called the name thereof Boaz./ And upon the top of the pillars was lily work: so was the work of the pillars finished.”

Prior to the tabernacle in the wilderness God had raised up a man after the fashion of Bazalel (“See, I have chosen Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah,/and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, with understanding, with knowledge and with all kinds of skills—Ex.31:2-3-NIV). The Spirit designates a few men in the antediluvian world who were noted for different skills. Jubal for example who “was the father of all such as handle the harp and organ./ And Zillah, she also bare…

He built also the house of the forest of Lebanon; the length thereof was an hundred cubits, and the breadth thereof fifty cubits, and the height thereof thirty cubits, upon four rows of cedar pillars, with cedar beams upon the pillars.(v.2)”

The House of Solomon was called the House of the Forest of Lebanon. King Solomon had arranged with King Hiram of Tyre to bring the forest of Lebanon all cut to size ready to instal in the king’s house. “My servants shall bring them down from Lebanon unto the sea: and I will convey them by sea in floats unto the place that thou shalt appoint me, and will cause them to be discharged there, and thou shalt receive them: and thou shalt accomplish my desire, in giving food for my household./ So Hiram gave Solomon cedar trees and fir trees according to all his desire(5:9-10)”.

“But Solomon was building his own house thirteen years, and he finished all his house.”

This house is earthy as the body is while the house of the Lord which King Solomon built is tagged by seven. “In the fourth year was the foundation of the house of the Lord laid, in the month Zif:/And in the eleventh year, in the month Bul, which is the eighth month, was the house finished throughout all the parts thereof, and according to all the fashion of it. So was he seven years in building it(6:37-38).

The Spirit uses numbers to tag eternal realities of the Fellowship of God with Man. Thus Man is tagged by 3. The earth abides forever (Ec.1:4). Considering New Jerusalem is the name of the church in new heaven and the earth holds a preeminent position. (‘Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is…

And the word of theLordcame to Solomon, saying,

12Concerning this house which thou art in building, if thou wilt walk in my statutes, and execute my judgments, and keep all my commandments to walk in them; then will I perform my word with thee, which I spake unto David thy father:

13 And I will dwell among the children of Israel, and will not forsake my people Israel.

This warning we first heard through Moses and Israel would not heed them. Now He is demanding the works worthy of children from the ‘our Father which art in heaven’ and what Jeremiah spoke is valid very much now.”yes, this is what the LORD Almighty says: “I will send the sword, famine and plague against them and I will make them like figs that are so bad they cannot be eaten./I will pursue them with the sword, famine and plague and…
