“t is a land the LORD your God cares for; the eyes of the LORD your God are continually on it from the beginning of the year to its end(De.11:12).”

It is a land to which the end of the year 2021 has brought closer and on the eve of a new year what we ought to be sure is the lay of the Land, it is altogether new for us but for eternal God this land is the apple of his eye. In His will He is sure of success for it is the Son and on his sure foundation every child of God shall find his place. It is the earth that abides forever. It is the new earth which is where these years are taking us closer. “One generation passeth away, and another generation cometh: but the earth abideth for ever(Ec.1:4)”.

Bible Study-1 Ki.8:29-66 “This House”

That thine eyes may be open toward this house night and day, even toward the place of which thou hast said, My name shall be there: that thou mayest hearken unto the prayer which thy servant shall make toward this place(v.29)”.

This House is a representation being made of hands what exists eternal in heaven. The Throne and footstool imagery (Is.66:1) explains the fulness of the earth so the temple of Solomon when the ark of the covenant was brought inside revealed something unusual.

“He built also the house of the forest of Lebanon; the length thereof was an hundred cubits, and the breadth thereof fifty cubits, and the height thereof thirty cubits, upon four rows of cedar pillars, with cedar beams upon the pillars.(v.2)”

The House of Solomon was called the House of the Forest of Lebanon. King Solomon had arranged with King Hiram of Tyre to bring the forest of Lebanon all cut to size ready to instal in the king’s house. “My servants shall bring them down from Lebanon unto the sea: and I will convey them by sea in floats unto the place that thou shalt appoint me, and will cause them to be discharged there, and thou shalt receive them: and thou shalt accomplish my desire, in giving food for my household./ So Hiram gave Solomon cedar trees and fir trees according to all his desire(5:9-10)”.

This house is earthy as the body is while the house of the Lord which King Solomon built is tagged by seven. “In the fourth year was the foundation of the house of the Lord laid, in the month Zif:/And in the eleventh year, in the month Bul, which is the eighth month, was the house finished throughout all the parts thereof, and according to all the fashion of it.
