The great multitude as sand referring to the seed of Abraham we already came across. The Revelation- Re.15:1 “Another Sign”

“And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God.(v.1)”

This sign in heaven is referring to the one in Ch.12. “And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, “

One curious feature of the narrative beginning with chapter is the word ‘temple’ in place of the throne of God in the narrative in preceding chapters. “And after that I looked, and, behold, the temple of the tabernacle of the testimony in heaven was opened.”(v.5). What consequences hit the earth when the Lamb broke open the seven seals are now described but from the Jewish standpoint. The Revelation-Re.14:14-20 “Behold a white cloud”

“And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle.”

This is drawn from the vision of Daniel and the Holy Spirit is revealing the judgment aspect of the gospel. “I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven,”(Dan.7:13). The Spirit uses ‘Behold’ as Jesus would ‘verily, verily I say unto you.’ Jesus declared, “I am the truth.”. Whenever he wanted to emphasize a saying he used it. Similarly the Spirit uses ‘behold’ and here the same motif of ‘one like the Son of man’ coming with the clouds of heaven merges with one ‘like unto the Son of man’ sits upon the cloud.
