And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honor, and power, unto the Lord our God:

2For true and righteous are his judgments: for he hath judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand.

3And again they said, Alleluia And her smoke rose up for ever and ever.

And the four and twenty elders and the four beasts fell down and worshipped God that sat on the throne, saying, Amen; Alleluia.

The four and twenty elders are memorials before the throne of God. They are unchanged as the everlasting covenant is same as the day God declared the decree, When David says, “Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.”(Ps.2:6) the elders with the witnesses to…

“And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth.”

Babylon is not a single city but by Law of Gradation is the culmination of pride of man where he did not simply built his world after a pattern that existed. God showed a pattern to Moses and it was intended as Habitation, a tabernacle. Instead what man made was upon blood which in v.24 sets the numbers as innumerable and from day one to its violent end. “All that were slain upon the earth.”

The Holy Spirit records the first fratricide and Cain is qualified as of the wicked one. “Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother’s righteous.”(1 John 3:12). Devil is the wicked one and Babylon is…

It is thus Wisdom built her house “Wisdom hath builded her house, she hath hewn out her seven pillars:”(Pr.9:1). The Church as a body sanctified by the word therefore is qualified as a bride. This idea we can understand from this verse, “Husbands, love your wives…

And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. “(v.4)

Here the angel strikes out a warning which was not for the occasion but declaring the will of the Father and it has never changed. Separating the light from darkness at the outset was part of it. When God commanded Moses to make a sanctuary He first showed him the pattern. (Ex.25:8-9) and said, “That I may dwell among them.” It is about relationship that he revealed there. God among men, Immanuel or ‘God among us’ is patterned after the Father Son relationship existing in heaven. It is the everlasting covenant which are among equals. So this angel announcing the will of God is addressing ‘my people”. When God had made a covenant with his Son it is…
