Before we go into the text proper we may consider it as a summary of what we have covered so far. We have a passage from the short epistle of Jude to explain what we are looking at. “And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.”(v.6) The angels, God made spirits and who estranged from their first state He has reserved in everlasting chains. Emblematic of this the red dragon in the vision is shown having ten horns. (12:3;13:1) The beast who comes out of the sea also wears as many horns, the Holy Spirit wants us to understand from where he derives his authority. The Spirit has found a body so to speak. The devil sins from the beginning like Cain who was of the wicked one. “But…

And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.

There are only two nations one of which comes under Day and the other under Night. “And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.”(Ge.1:5) It is significant that it was God who named these nations. His will also were as distinct as His voice is. His word as distinct as His eye before which nothing is hidden. God saw the light and it was good,”And God said, Let there be light: and there was light./And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.”(vv.3-4)

The children of the light shall walk by light of the true Light in whom…

It is in this sense we have made sense of this book at several places. The natural sun has its uses so has the sun as a sign. The preacher speaks of evil under the sun which explains the way of all flesh, death take all. It does not reckon the everlasting life for natural man.”I have seen another evil under the sun, and it weighs heavily on mankind:/God gives some people wealth, possessions and honor, so that they lack nothing their hearts desire…

“And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.” (v.11)

We saw the man who sat on a white horse already. “And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.”(6:2) A crown was given to him because he was on the righteous mission of God and would fulfill the will of his Father completely. ‘In righteousness does he judge and make war’. It can only be the word of God eternally settled in the heavens.

So the man who had only a bow in the Ch.6 would fill it with polished and tried arrows which are the saints redeemed from the earth, as he galloped across…
