Before we go into the passage let us recap the significance of the five angels with vials, they pour out the wrath of God upon the earth. The seven plagues of Egypt serves as sign of heaven cataloguing God’s judgment. These were warning shots as it were, of the great judgment to come on the great day of God Almighty. This is preceded by a battle. The Holy Spirit annotates that stubbornness or pride is a trait of carnal wisdom and works like the heart of Pharaoh and he was hardened. Misinformation, apostasy and pride,- the three frogs coming from the dragon made the beast the false prophet and those who received the mark of the beast close their ranks as one, “And the LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh, and he hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had spoken unto Moses.” (Ex.9:12).

“And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet./ For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.”(vv.13-14)

Symbolism of frogs cannot be lost on anyone. The river turns to blood and brings more plagues. Sin affects mind and now spirit is also affected.  And the third angel poured out his vial upon the rivers and fountains of waters; and they became blood./And I heard the angel of the waters say, Thou art righteous, O Lord, which art, and wast, and shalt be, because thou hast judged thus./ For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and thou hast given them blood to drink; for they are worthy.”(vv.4-5)

What does it mean by this phrase, ‘angel of the waters’ found in v.5? Here is one example. “Thy way is in the sea, and thy path in the great waters, and thy footsteps are not known.”(Ps.77:19). It is the testimony of Jesus Christ which God sent through an angel to John. Similarly what is unknown to man which is not understood or grasp through human intellect,- and where only faith can enter. is where power and glory of the…

The seven plagues visiting Egypt was a sign from heaven. Man who based reason for creating a brave a new world may have asked the preacher, “What soul? Are you pulling my leg, man? I know such thing. Show it, so I can observe and from empirical evidence come to a conclusion.” He spoke reasonably is it not? His reason flowed and his strength lay in channeling to drive his rational behavior, and it was the basis for a just and happy world. But do we see anywhere? Man toiled to make one and fought wars to establish reason on a pedestal but do we hear in the conspiracy theories the Social media platforms spew out.? How did reason escape from these brutish beasts?

“And Pharaoh said, Who is the Lord, that I should obey his voice to let Israel go? I know not the Lord, neither will I let Israel go.”…
