Turn from him, that he may rest, till he shall accomplish, as an hireling, his day.”

Here we have Parable# 1 begun from chapter-10. What is the rest from the labor?

Man as an hireling has expectations. St Paul in al his missionary journeys sought to be not a burden on others.”For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat(2 The.3:10)”. He writes elsewhere,”For ye remember, brethren, our labour and travail: for labouring night and day, because we would not be chargeable unto any of you, we preached unto you the gospel of God(1 The.2:9)”. The above argument is part of the parable #1 ‘Thou hast made me as the clay; and wilt thou bring me into dust again? (10:9)’ His argument goes only as far as his life experience goes in the world of the flesh. Why break up a body which is fashioned from the ground by God. What useless preoccupation a man has before him to gain experience and surely one day his case shall be that of a broken pitcher before the fountain. Level of knowledge each gains has its limit and characteristics. What this knowledge fails to impress us is this: “Behold, as the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are ye in mine hand,(Je.18:6)’. All we…
