In chapters 15, 18 and in 20 we read the arguments of Job’s friends one after the other defending their best to void the position Job has taken to cling to his innocency. Eliphaz the Temanite snaps at his stubbornness,’Should he(Job) reason with unprofitable talk? or with speeches wherewith he can do no good?/4 Yea, thou castest off fear, and restrainest prayer before God.”(15:3-4).
