“He cometh forth like a flower, and is cut down: he fleeth also as a shadow, and continueth not./ And doth thou open thine eyes upon such an one, and bringest me into judgment with thee?“(vv.2-3)
The Psalmist also wondered about it and we have his thinking on it in these verses. “What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?/ For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour./ Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet(Ps.8:4-8)
